Final Summary

So I'm supposed to write about how I grew as an artist and how my artistic abilities changed, but nothing big really happened. I learned how to use Photoshop, and some tricks to outline stuff from the class, that's pretty much it. My style of drawing is the same and probably will stay the same until I feel like mixing it up with the new tools I've been taught to use.

Mystical Beast

In this project, we learned how to use healing tools to transfer the patterns on one picture onto another.
I like how the manes and the eyes worked out, but I wish I had more time to work on the background.

Mango Tutorial Spiders

This was the preparation for our mythical beast pictures, using the healing tools and stuff.

Color Wheel :D

For our color wheel assignment, we learned about analogous and complimentary colors.

Pop art Portraits

We learned about the exaggeration of emotions in pop art and artists like Andy Warhol's work while doing this assignment. I was going for more of a positive cartoon-ish feel, but it turned out kind of looking more like me than I had expected. Our teacher taught us how to make paths in Photoshop for the first one, to make the lines neater and curvier. The second picture was made in both Flash and Photoshop, using Flash for the lines and Photoshop for the colors and background. I like how the hands in both of them turned out, along with the hair/eyes in the first.

Space Scapes

This ones' sky is my favorite! c:

For the space scapes, we learned how to make flurries of nebulas and stars in Corel painter. We used Photoshop to make our faces and regular circles into 3d-looking spheres.
I wish we didn't have to have the rings around one of the planets, it adds too much in my opinion.
(This is the way I like it.)

Landscapes

(water raked)

(Auto van-gogh)
I honestly can't remember a whole lot about what we learned by doing these landscapes, art history-wise; I couldn't find the folder that had the information about what artists we learned about. I do know that we were doing stuff with expressionism and surrealism.. :D I liked how the auto van-Gogh turned out, and the purple/green one we used the water rake for.
